Day 1 it was immediately obvious I needed to be in emergency mode, with an all new BPO and teams who had little training, hadn’t been given access and very little process documents. We were unable to process invoices or make payments. With multiple threats of stopping of services or provision of goods, and no one to hand anything over to me, proved challenging however the show had to go on – and it did!June 2023 – Our team and I were nominated for the Adevinta annual Awards – A first for the finance / central teams.• Areas of control – Invoice processing, payments, vendor master data, T&E and helpdesk• Management and development of the new BPO (based in Romania and India. Resulting in 140 days in Cluj, Romania)• Emergency mode – implementing a controlled and efficient invoice processing and payment processes.• Engagement with key suppliers and negotiation to stop services and goods being supplied.• Implementation of a automated vendor reconciliation tool• Heavy engagement with the Global Finance Director, local controllership and the business• Development, training and implementation of processes, controls and governance• Implementation of 3 releases (S4 Hann improvements, Country on-boarding) • Creation of process documentation• Development of KPI / SLA’s• Implementing strict controls across all areas, especially master data and payments• Updating of policy documentation• Improvement of the in-house ticketing and triage system and process (Assyst)• Ongoing process improvement and development of the BPO• Selection, training and support of a permanent replacement for my role• Full engagement and support for release 2 (June 23) and 4 (September 23)• Attending and supporting UAT, KT and hyper care in Bangalore, Cluj, Paris, Italy and Barcelona• Supporting new initiatives including a procurement E2E fit for purpose process, Arise project and future proofing PTP• Getting PTP E2E to a BAU status whilst implementing release R1D, R2 and R4
