ABOUT STEVE DETERMAN
I am a Product Owner for teams of developers at John Deere and a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) for whatever that’s worth! Our teams practice a mostly scrum-flavored version of agile development as we build Order Incentives, Retail Incentives, and Flex Funds Apps for Dealers and John Deere stakeholders. I am passionate about whatever it is that I am doing and an eternal optimist that has an indestructible belief that people are good and can find a bright spot in anything. I have a particular interest in usability and making sure our team is excited about what they do.I came to John Deere in 2012 as an IT Business Analyst and became a PO when we began adopting agile principles back in 2018. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2001, and my favorite part was being on the Men’s Basketball team. You will notice I am tall…6’9’’ if anyone is wondering. I’m using that same team approach with our entire Product team to become All-Stars so we can grow our value, delight our customer, and change John Deere incentives. I like to think big!
