Responsible for the configured engineering drawings and BoMs, ensuring configuration control and maintenance of relevant data within the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tool.1. Manage the ‘maintenance of line’ team who are responsible drafting, design support, document control or similar engineering support activities. Oversee the preparation of new or modified designs and ensure documentation packages are complete. To ensure the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of all engineering services projects.Specific accountabilities are: Direct and guide the maintenance of the engineering records on existing products and the introduction of new variants of existing product families. Support the design engineers during New Product Introductions, by preparing and formally releasing engineering drawings and BOM’s in a controlled manner. Support the Sales & Marketing, Purchasing, Operations and Quality teams, in the processing of new sales enquiries, continuous improvement programmes and cost reduction opportunities. Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) e.g. Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality. Report to senior management at appropriate intervals on status of work in progress and maintain part and project number assignments, drawing reproduction, and customer documentation.
