10/2015 - PRESENT, Tricom Technical Services, Topeka, KS - Sr. IT Project Management Consultant - BCBS of KS.• Presently servicing Tricom\'s premier medical insurance client account on a PMO staff augmentation basis and involved with a portfolio of concurrent technical projects within BCBSKS’s IT Division.• Data Analytics / Business Intelligence:(e.g. this has been a long-term “Big Data” contract, involving a senior IT leadership “program” role with leading coordinated, cross-functional efforts for three “pillars” of established data maturity within the Data Analytics organization; this effort is slated to continue well over 2016 and through Q3 of 2017): 1) Data Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE); 2) Technology Solutions Selection (e.g. IBM’s DB2 Analytics Accelerator [IDAA-Netezza]); and a 3) Business Analytics Pilot that will demonstrate recognized business value and return on investment within the two core areas of Consumer and Product related business intelligence; 4) Later BCBSKS analytics initiatives on the horizon will involve Claims and Socially-Shared data and the establishment of an Enterprise Data Warehouse.• Windows 10 Upgrade: Company-wide upgrade initiative to Windows 10; coordination of Desktop Support personnel and Quality Assurance Testing effort; cross coordination with Applications Development to assess impact for identifying and setting up additional (separate) projects that will involve custom applications re-write’s (full SDLC to be utilized).• Mainframe Environments: Infrastructure ”Configuration Change” initiative to identify and setup additional mainframe logical partitions (LPARs); cross-functional coordination with many IT and business departments that are to be impacted by IBM z System configuration changes. This is a large system-wide initiative that will involve the spin-off of multiple (additional) projects as well.
