Keynote Speaker, Author, Believer in YOUIn 2013, Steve became the first person to run the 1037 miles around Lake Michigan. This adventure is documented in his first book, 40 Days. In 2018 Steve completed the Iditarod Trail 350-mile bike race, and in 2019 he became the very first Iowan to complete the Iditarod Trail Invitational bike race from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska. This historic race was documented in the movie, Miles to Nome, an adventure documentary which is an official selection of the 2020 Docs Without Borders Film Festival.Steve is also an avid fundraiser and his adventures have raised nearly for Livestrong, Camp Kesem, Above and Beyond Cancer, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
