For over 20yrs Mr. Clikas has worked in all areas of commercial real estate finance and investments as a producer, as well as serving in managerial/leadership roles for Regions Financial Corp, Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, and presently Protective Life Insurance Company. He has executed debt and equity capital structures across the breadth of product lines in the permanent capital markets (Life Co, CMBS, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, Funds) and within the banking industry which has resulted in over $6-Billion of production. Working with a granular mix of companies spanning from REITs and funds to regional and local developers, Mr. Clikas has facilitated all major income-producing property types (Multi-family, Industrial, Office, Retail) as well as medical office, hospitality, mixed-use, self-storage, seniors housing, affordable housing and student housing. He also has experience in structuring commercial real estate joint venture opportunities, and executing commercial real estate investment sales. Mr. Clikas is an Investments Officer and Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate Investments Division of Protective Life Insurance Company in Birmingham, AL. He is responsible for conventional debt and participation investment origination of stabilized, new construction, and value-add transactions related to all major income-producing property types on a National basis.Mr. Clikas received his Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Planning and Business Investment Analysis from The University of Alabama, he is a CCIM designee (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and holds a real estate license in the State of Alabama. Mr. Clikas is a past President of the Alabama CCIM Chapter, a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, an executive board member of REV Birmingham, and has served on various charitable boards.
