ABOUT STEVE BONNELL
I have over 25 years’ experience in planning, managing and completing impact assessments (IAs) and associated environmental and socioeconomic studies, public and Indigenous engagement programs and permitting for proposed developments throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and elsewhere. This has included projects in the marine renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, electricity, transportation and other sectors. My educational qualifications include a Masters Degree in Geography from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a PhD in IA from the School of the Environment, University of Dundee, Scotland UK. I have published and presented on IA issues and approaches at national and international forums, and am an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Geography, Memorial University of Newfoundland where I regularly teach in IA and related matters.
