I am a NED/Trustee and a former commercial dispute and arbitration lawyer at a top 40 UK law firm where I also headed their 300 strong Birmingham office. I am also a former Visiting Fellow of international law at Aston University.I am a past President of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce & the international New York based British American Business Council.I was also named \"International Solicitor of the Year\" at the Birmingham Law Society Awards in 2010 and have appeared in the Birmingham Post\'s Power 250 list of the city and region\'s most influential people.In 2018 I was awarded the Business Desk \'Leadership in Professional Services\' Award. In 2021, I was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by Aston University for my contribution to the legal profession and international trade.In 2022 I was named \'Partner of the Year\' at the Birmingham Law Society Awards.Having retired as a solicitor I am now fulfilling various advisory roles which include both non-executive Director and trustee roles.
