About Stephanie Liu
Dr. Stephanie Liu is an Associate Professor of Hospitality Management, Chair of Hospitality Management Undergraduate & Graduate Studies, and Director of the Hospitality Experimental Research Lab (HER-Lab) at The Ohio State University. She serves as Managing Editor of the Journal of Service Management and Coordinating Editor of the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and contributes to the field through additional roles as guest editor, editorial board member, and ad hoc reviewer for numerous leading journals.Dr. Liu is a Hospitality Management scholar specializing in services marketing and consumer behavior in experiential consumption. Her research program focuses on two strategic and interconnected themes:(1) customer experience management, examining servicescape design and technology-infused service encounters; and (2) persuasion in marketing & digital media, investigating how message framing and sensory cues influence consumer responses to advertising, social media, and online reviews.Her research has been published extensively in top-ranked journals across hospitality, tourism, and business management, including Journal of Service Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Advertising, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research, Annals of Tourism Research, and Tourism Management, among others.Through a sustained record of high-impact scholarship, Dr. Liu established an international reputation in hospitality management research. Her work has earned multiple international research wards, accumulated over 4,500 citations, and attracted coverage from more than 50 national and international media outlets, including Forbes, Fox News, Science Daily, and NPR.
