ABOUT STEPHANIE HOUGHTON

Hi! My name is Stephanie, I\'m the Founder of Blush & Bloom Talent Ltd, a specialist recruitment consultancy. Blush & Bloom focuses solely on recruiting roles throughout the product lifecycle, in the Cosmetics & Personal Care industry. Growing up, I always had a keen interest in two things – beauty and science. I was in the top set for science at school, it was by far my favourite subject. I was an inquisitive child, always curious about the science behind things – the why and the how. Then comes beauty… I LOVE (and have always loved) beauty. I used to watch beauty YouTubers for hours on end after school, I have very fond memories of having a mannequin doll whose hair and makeup I did most nights. I also used to change my nail polish every few days when I got bored. When I was around 13, I started a beauty blog where I reviewed products in my collection, I posted often and loved blogging! I used to email beauty companies asking for samples to review on my blog, and to my amazement, I received quite a lot! This was a dream come true for teen-me, in my little beauty bubble. 🧴🧼I then left school and did an apprenticeship in Business Administration. I joined a recruitment company, responsible for their admin and marketing. Within a year, I switched roles and became a recruitment consultant. There, I \'fell\' into recruitment (don\'t we all!). A couple years later, I joined a specialist scientific recruitment agency focusing on the cosmetics and personal care sector, linking my love for science and beauty! Fast forward to today, I now have eight years of recruitment experience, and six years of dedicated experience within the Cosmetics & Personal Care industry and have my very own consultancy specialising in this field. From entry-level positions to top-tier directorship roles, I\'ve successfully recruited for every tier of the industry for some of the worlds leading brands. Whether it\'s sourcing the next rising star in product development or identifying leaders within R&D to drive business growth, I pride myself on finding the perfect fit for both clients and candidates alike.
