About Emily Stephenson

I am an enthusiastic, dedicated, and driven HR leader! In August of 2012, I joined Doeren Mayhew, as the Human Resources Coordinator and currently hold the position of Director of Human Resources in our Troy, Michigan office. Over the course of my career with Doeren Mayhew, I have been fortunate to gain experience in the many areas that encompass the field of human resources. I am passionate about talent acquisition and recruiting, advancing and retaining top talent at both the campus and experienced hire levels. As a firm that is consistently recognized as “Best of the Best”, I am constantly looking to meet the \"best of the best\" candidates that are charismatic, intelligent, goal-oriented, and ambitious with plans to pursue a career in public accounting or financial services. In addition to overseeing the sourcing of talent, I oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, manage employee relations, creation and administration of firm-wide performance management initiatives, employee benefits, training and development, policy and procedure implementation and more. Prior to joining Doeren Mayhew, I graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications and a focus in Entrepreneurship. In addition, I dedicated much of my time to being a member of the Miami Varsity Synchronized Skating Team. Through this experience, I developed skills in teamwork, time-management, communication, and leadership. Having been a Three-Time National Champion and team captain, I am highly goal-oriented and motivated.
