In April of 1997 Pedors launched the Pedors Classic, a shoe that revolutionized the orthopedic shoe world. Central to the design was the use in the forefoot of the shoe of a proprietary material called Pedoprene which stretches and molds to the foot to accommodate common foot problems like bunions, hammertoes, corns, calluses, swollen feet and other forefoot deformities. The orthopedic design provides plenty of room in the toe box, and easy easy to put on and take off with an easily adjustable velcro strap The Classic is often described by caregivers in nursing homes, PT\'s and OT\'s as the \"go to shoe\" when looking for a footwear solution for patients with mobility limitations.
