ABOUT STEPHEN LEWIS
Mr. Lewis has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate, education, and SME fields. In 1976, Stephen joined the Lehndorff Group, who asset and property managed on behalf of European investors a portfolio of over 200 properties comprising 20 million square feet of leasable space and covering the complete spectrum of real estate investment opportunities. Stephen become EVP and CFO, responsible for all facets of the groups Finance, Accounting, Administration, M.I.S and HR needs.After 18 years and after playing a significant role in the restructuring of Lehndorff, Stephen left the organization in 1994 and soon after acquired 2 franchises of Oxford Learning Centres (19••••02) and helped launch the brand in Toronto.In 2007, Stephen became the founding President of IGB Real Estate Canada Inc, a company formed to acquire and asset manage real estate investments on behalf of the IGB Group’s German investors. In July 2011, IGB Real Estate Canada Inc.changed its name to Kipling Real Estate Canada Inc, a member of the Kipling Group, which is headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Stephen is a Co-founding partner of the Kipling Group which, amongst other services, provides asset and property management services to private and institutional groups for resort, commercial and multi-family real estate assets in Quebec, New York State, Georgia, Texas and Southern California. In addition, the Kipling Group provides consulting, investment and asset management services to clients in their Container and Agri divisions.On June 30, 2022, Stephen retired from his day to day responsibilities at the Kipling Group and now acts a s a Consultant to Kipling.Stephen is a volunteer with the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (\"CAST\"), where he served on the Board of Directors from serving as its President for two of those years.As a member of CAST’s Real Estate committee and its former Chair, Stephen oversaw the multi-million dollar redevelopment of CAST’s Charles Street Head Office property. Stephen is the proud recipient of both Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals.
