I am an experienced Director with over 35 years’ experience, managing major, high value, programmes of works and individual projects both in the UK & overseas. Recent project - New Hospital Programme - MMUH Project DirectorThe new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) will bring together urgent care services from three hospitals across the region into one state-of-the-art site, promoting better patient safety and care while ensuring value for money. The hospital has 670 in-patient beds and 15 operating theatres over 10 storeys and a gross internal area of Completion was successfully achieved Aug 2024, with commencement of patient services Oct 2024; the largest hospital built in England in the last 10 years.My experience ranges from developing management organisations to support the delivery of the programmes / projects to then acting as the Programme Manager for the programme as a whole - as per my role of Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) Programme Delivery Manager & Lead Team member at Magnox Bradwell and at Chapelcross managing the Nuclear Fuel Storage Ponds / ILW decommissioning programme.Prior to this I undertook the role of Framework Manager where I established the Managed Service Provider / Programme Delivery organisation across multiple disciplines to ensure the delivery of a programme in excess of 16 projects with a capital value of circa £550m - Heathrow Western Campus.I possess strong hands-on experience of managing multiple teams delivering portfolios of high value and complex programme of works / projects, requiring close liaison and management of stakeholders with regular reporting to client Project Boards. I brings clear vision & direction, a can-do attitude, practical governance, transparent reporting and agreed results.I am highly motivated and have a proven track record of successfully delivering all aspects of programme / project management / project delivery including P&L responsibility, effective communication, operational strategy & performance improvement, stakeholder management, programme development & delivery, risk & change management.
