My first position as a Financial Adviser was in 1996. Since then I have worked for large insurance companies, regional IFA firms, the financial planning divisions of large firms of Chartered Accountants, and now a national IFA.I joined McParland and Partners in June 2012, and the company became part of the Fairstone Group in March 2017.I like to think that my speciality is good quality financial advice delivered in a jargon free, sensible manner.I am a qualified Independent Financial Adviser, a Fellow of the PFS, and a Chartered Financial Planner.I have alos passed the Cii exams in Discretionary Investment Management and Securities Advice & Dealing, together with the AF3 Pension Planning exam which qualifies me as a Pension Transfer Specialist.Specialties: Providing holistic Independent Financial Advice to individuals, firms and corporates in written format, avoiding the usual industry jargon and (hopefully) using plain English. Importantly, each client is different and therefore the advice that I provide is bespoke - no two circumstances are the same, whatever the similarities!I am a whole of market IFA and the cost of my services is agreed with each client on a case by case basis. The costs can be remunerated by an adviser charge facilitated by a product provider or payable directly by the client via an invoice; this very much depends on individual client\'s needs, circumstances, and of course preference.
