I\'ve first-chaired trials across the country and argued hundreds of cases in state and federal courts, including the International Trade Commission and Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.I reduce complex technology to key understandable concepts quickly and effectively. Peers, clients, adversaries, as well as juries and judges tell me that I listen and teach with empathy and humor. In addition to first chairing over 20 matters through trial or appeal, I counsel clients on IP enforcement strategies and IP transactions as well as on departing and whistle blowing employees. I serve as outside general counsel for several large companies on California, IP and related antitrust issues and teach civil practice as well as IP law classes at UC Hastings College of Law.I am an avid open water swimmer, marathon runner, triathlete, and a 4x Ironman. I volunteer my time to the underserved for legal services, and enjoy serving on school and other non-profit boards.
