As Managing Director of Bridges for Communities I am focused on making Bristol a place where people get along well together.Supporting people to connect with each other and play an active role in shaping a better future for their communities has been a part of my work for the last 15+ years. This has included:> Designing and leading citizens\' juries and panels that support diverse groups of people to develop common visions of the future and make recommendations to governments across the UK> Producing research shaped by public attitudes on how to address the climate crisis, improve public health and tackle social injustice> Overseeing research and evaluation projects that consider how to connect people with the things they need or care about by walking, wheeling or cycling and the benefits of this> Leading the tenant participation service and collaborating across the VCSE sector to build more thriving communities in Hounslow> Working to connect people with volunteering opportunities and decision making processes across the country> Supporting young people to develop social action projects within their schools and local communities
