Background: Stephen Rich is a strategic thought leader, visionary, and entrepreneurial executive with 20+ years of high-tech industry experience. He started his career as a microprocessor engineer and eventually led the microprocessor design methodology for all of Intel Corporation. He has led massive technology projects, operations teams, user experience teams, and corporate level strategy initiatives. Stephen also ran operations for Intel Corporations’ New Business Initiatives, an internal new business incubator that deployed a milestone based lean startup methodology, where he was responsible for the incubation methodology, running the front end of the investment pipeline, coaching venture GMs, and running operations. He made breakthroughs in identifying the root causes of why major innovation projects fail due to “Company Fit,” misalignments in operational norms associated with the deployment of Resources, Priorities, and Processes (RPPs). This unique, diverse skill set built on both an MBA & MS EE gives him a unique holistic approach to problem-solving.
