WORK HISTORY
Sales Operations Director, Eaaa (Europe, Africa, Asia & Australia) @Interface
Birmingham, GB
Over the past 10 years, the level of influence Sales Operations has had on an organisation’s growth has increased significantly. This is due to the volume of information now available to individuals, who interact with the organisation. Your customers not only know who you are and what you sell, but the impact you have on the environment and even your employee’s social presence. In today economy, your customers expect you to know as much about them as they know about you and often they expect you to know more.Sales Operations is not only there to arm the sales organisation with that level of knowledge, but to also look at every area within sales to see how it can be improved. From CRM development, sales productivity analysis and sales strategy paths through to reward/recognition and lead generation; making a highly functioning sales operations team the sales team’s touch point with every other function within a company. The role of Director of Sales Operations at Interface is allowing me to help drive the future direction of a business both in and globally. At Interface, we not only make amazing products, but also understands the importance of building a sustainable future for all.

ABOUT STEPHEN GARLICK
Interface is the global leader in modular carpet and luxury vinyl tiles. Our products combine aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. But sustainability is our main focus.Taking responsibility for our impact on the environment has led us to transform our supply chains, and solve economic and social problems. We’ve discovered many new concepts – including biomimicry (learning from nature’s processes), biophilic design (bringing nature into interior spaces) and inclusive business (involving and benefiting low-income communities). These have inspired us to change not only our products, but also our company and the entire industry. In 1994, we started Mission Zero, our commitment to eliminate our negative impact on the environment, by 2020. In acknowledging we were part of the problem; we took responsibility for helping find a solution. This meant redesigning our company and our products. If a petrochemical-intensive, traditional manufacturing business like ours can change, so can anyone. We are proud to say we are poised to reach our Mission Zero goals by 2020 and are now focused on our new mission, Climate Takeback. Feel free to visit our website and the company website to understand more of what we do.
