Project manager and data engineer for a large data management system end2end, from acquisition to integration and access.\\\\n\\\\nTools/skills used: SQL server, Microsoft Azure, Databricks - data factory, python, SQL, Logic apps, azure function apps, storage container management, cluster management, a little bit of spark and C#.\\\\n\\\\nTechnical aspects: Digital signal conversion, data arrays, cloud integration, database design modelling, mapping & construction end2end. Code sets, Blob storage, workflow & ETL pipeline automation, project management, datalake.\\\\n\\\\nThis project sees the creation of a new cloud based application including a database, automation trigger based event management and conversion of multiple, large differing files from multiple acquisition points (multiple source files, multiple acquisition methods).\\\\n\\\\nThis project has implemented all the necessary Infrastructure and data capture points to carry out analytics in near-real time on very large (big data) data sets. We have automated analysis, calculations, documentation/reports and fault detection for components within power transformers.\\\\n\\\\nThe power/utility sector utilises many methods of data capture, from industry standard measurement devices to less conventional data capture processes. This presented the challenge of mixed data strategies and standards across the industry meaning transformer data can be obtained in many ways, and can look radically different from one another. Designing, developing and implementing software and systems that can extract, transform and load data regardless of its origin, was challenging. Now, we are able to consume all known source files regardless of type or origin,(including TDMS files and custom made file types such as Omicron\'s.PTM and more). Having the data accessible in one system, joined, allowed us to develop automated reports which was previously a tedious activity. The platform can generate basic and advanced analytics.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
