With 37 years of combined K-12 public education experience in law enforcement, risk management, emergency management, insurance, and safety, I am currently the Director of Risk Management, Insurance, and Safety at the Irvine Unified School District (Irvine, California).I leverage my expertise and years of experience to aid in the long-term development of school safety and emergency management collaborative groups – groups that form the foundation for any successful program. Most importantly, grounded in reality and operational framework, school safety, and emergency management programs must blend the right people and systems together for sustainability. I am passionate about creating safe, supportive, and resilient learning environments for students, staff, and families.
