Medicine has centered my professional career for more than 20 years. My focus has been Hospital Medicine, serving on medical boards, and weaving together a passion for health care, technology, and entrepreneurship. Caring for patients, often those who are very ill, requires that I am at the forefront of ongoing learning, understanding how technology can inform and help improve health outcomes, and studying breakthroughs in clinical medicine. As a Hospitalist with extensive critical care experience, I bring a deep understanding to the inpatient experience. Whether a physician is a Hospitalist or part of a physician practice, more and more requirements demand the physician\'s time and attention. Most often, these responsibilities are not related to patient care. It\'s why I sought out ways to be more effective and efficient in my career. I studied how business leaders and entrepreneurs led and applied similar methods to achieve more significant career outcomes. I built the systems and structures that enabled me to do more of the work I am passionate about ― caring for people, developing medical technology and processes, and helping medical professionals to achieve their goals.
