I have the pleasure of leading our North American Executive Interim Management business. My colleagues and I support a wide range of clients providing them with exceptional talent on an interim basis to address capacity and capability challenges. We hire ‘traditional’ executive interims who provide an experienced and steady hand on the tiller allowing an organisation to cover sudden gaps in their leadership. We also hire \'strategic interims\' who are bought into an organisation for a defined period of time to help drive change and elevate operational performance. This is the fastest growing and most exciting part of our portfolio as leaders look for cost effective and timely change that doesn\'t increase operating cost. This service was borne from clients wanting a change based approach, not a consultant advising them of what was wrong but an operational leader who has dealt with this challenge before to help them understand the issues and then to be an embedded leader to own the solution.
