I am accountable for managing a $200M regulatory change portfolio for the Corporate & institutional banking (CIB) in HSBC. The breadth of my role has expanded to cover multiple businesses and regulatory priorities. My current scope is regulatory change across 52 markets and key deliverables are:• Business prioritization and safe delivery of the regulatory and control change book of work (200 initiatives) within CIB Non-Financial Risk.• Innovate by bringing CMB and GBM regulatory change portfolios together to deliver outcomes that protect both businesses. • Focus on simplification/automation by adopting strategic tools (AI, digitalization) and identify opportunities to reduce costs of regulatory change.• Simplify, process, procedures and controls across required to support change execution framework across the ‘Three Lines of Defense’ model.• Protect the Business through safe execution of Regulatory Change supported by regular spotlights and training and awareness sessions.• Drive Risk Impact and Data Control Impact assessment simplification, scoping, communication and training through collaboration across businesses, tooling and Group Transformation. • Simplify Regulatory Mapping and Transparency operating model through Data led approach that delivers simplification, digitalization (use of AI) and efficiency across Risk Stewards, Rick owners and CoE.• Innovate by developing process to empower regulatory change leads to deliver solutions quicker by providing agile risk-based mechanism to approve small projects/changes.• Improve financial management through monthly reviews and Quarterly investment committee that tracks and approves Programme spend across the portfolio.• Play an active role on key programme and sub-portfolio steering committees.• Manage relationships with stakeholders across Transformation, COO, Commercial Banking, Global Banking, Payments Services, Trade and Credit & Lending.
