ABOUT STEPHEN T.

I’m a senior humanitarian and international development executive with 20 years’ HQ and field leadership across rapid-onset crises and protracted emergencies, and earlier experience in the UK charity sector. My work has focused on building delivery that is both fast and accountable, strengthening operating models, governance, risk and assurance so programmes perform under pressure and stand up to donor and public scrutiny.I’ve held senior leadership roles with Simprints, World Vision, Oxfam, Action Against Hunger and Save the Children, spanning crisis response, multi-country delivery, partnership platforms and organisational improvement. I’m comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy and execution: setting direction, aligning teams, and then putting in place the practical mechanisms that make delivery consistent (clear priorities, performance frameworks, governance cadence, and a strong culture of duty of care and organisational integrity).A consistent professional focus has been improving how aid is delivered and verified: end-to-end operational delivery (including procurement, logistics and last-mile controls), evidence and learning systems that inform decisions, and accountability to affected communities. This includes significant experience with cash and market-based approaches (CVA) as part of broader response portfolios, alongside the governance and controls required to deliver at scale.In my current executive role at Simprints, I lead global delivery and impact and bring a technology and responsible-data lens to last-mile accountability, using digital tools and analytics to improve service delivery, reduce risk, and strengthen trust with governments, donors and partners.I’m drawn to roles where humanitarian and development outcomes, delivery excellence and transformation come together; whether that’s leading complex programmes, strengthening organisational performance, or bridging digital innovation with practical field delivery.
