About Stephen Zimmerman
As Chief Operating Officer of AEC Living, I’m responsible for the daily operations of our second-generation family-owned group of independently operated senior living communities, including The Elder’s Inn, The Lodge, and Phoenix Commons, as well as a Medicare-approved rehabilitation agency, AES Therapy and Fitness, and an in-home health care services provider, AEC Home Care. Since becoming COO in 2012, I have expanded AEC Living’s services by developing a senior focused outpatient physical therapy clinic. I have also co-founded AEC Home Care which provides in-home personal care to seniors in the East Bay. I have helped develop the co-housing community for people 55 and older, Phoenix Commons, located along the Oakland Estuary. I am active in community service in the East Bay with several nonprofits. I serve on the board of directors for the Rotary Club of Alameda, as the secretary of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce, as vice president of the Friends of Scouting for the Alameda Council of the Boy Scouts of America and as the committee chairman for the Alameda Council\'s Scouting for Food program.Please take a look at AEC Living’s award winning facilities, services, and
