Comply with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 accredited occupational safety and environmental management systems.• Lead other H&S Advisors and support to Department and Project Leads and their teams and driving continual improvement. • Analyse accident and other health and safety performance data and produce management reports, identify trends and recommend action.• Supply information to the Director of Group H&S and relevant UK Senior Management. • Developing, promoting and maintaining a strong h&s culture and are fully compliant with the H&S at Work Act 1974, CDM 2007 & COSHH 2006, Management of H&S at Work Regulations and other relevant statutes and codes of practice.• Manage the CDM-C compliance - coordination of the design risk management process, development of pre contract information, completing notifications to the HSE, providing proactive advice, ensuring co-ordination of designers, developing links between permanent and temporary works designers, actively liaising Client and developing communication links with the Principal Contractor. • Manage CDM-PC compliance - development and implementation of safety management documentation and monitoring systems, liaising with Project Managers and Safety Advisors to ensure effective management arrangements are in place to maintain site records, deliver suitable induction training, supervise Contractors, maintain CDM-C communication and manage temporary works etc. • Provide tender & pre-qualification submission or interviews• Business proposals - maintaining and providing current health and safety capability statements, programmes and performance information to relevant internal and external parties. • Ensuring business operations meet their legal compliance and corporate obligations, anticipating changes and ensuring these are incorporated into the H&S programme.• Identifying the organisation\'s H&S training needs, developing training courses and supporting their delivery.

PERSONAL PROFILEWith 30+ years experience across the construction industry, it is my goal to continue using my skills in health and safety together with my 2 years has one of HM Inspectors of Health and Safety (FOD) in Construction Division (HSE) based in the Birmingham Office. I have an in depth knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements together with a practical understanding of construction industry best practices combined with a commercial awareness of what is ‘’reasonably practicable’’ to comply with the law.I am experienced in procurement of the supply chain which involved checking competency of contractors i.e. health & safety policies, risk assessments and method statements.I have experience in working with clients, which as involved holding office and site meetings. I can work as part of a team or under my own initiative and I am not afraid to make decisions. I have been a Planning Supervisor and when the CDM Regulations 2007 came into force I have been a CDM Co-Ordinator. Due to the type of companies I have worked for and the roles I was employed in I took on the duties of Client, CDM Co-Ordinator, Designer, and Principal Contractor. I am Grad IOSH and NEBOSH trained and until recently employed as HSE Inspector in construction carrying out all enforcement action where appropriate i.e. advice, notices, prosecutions, complaints, accident and incident investigations, auditing, training, inspecting licence and non-licence asbestos removal. My CPD includes applying for Chartered IOSH and then gaining my Chartered membership in 2014 through IPD.I have worked in all aspects of construction: civil engineering, refurbishment, demolition supermarket, BUPA hospital, research lab, care homes, apartments, luxury homes, affordable housing, housing associations and latterly retirement homes.
