ABOUT STEPHEN WINGROVE
My original career was in construction materials testing, however in I moved over to the asbestos industry becoming CoCA (Certified Competent Asbestos) in 2005. I then progressed into Quality Management, during which I was responsible for 5 successful UKAS accreditation visits, two of which involved rectifying badly neglected and poorly managed quality systems with only months to prepare them for UKAS Assessments. In September 2016 I joined UKAS as an Assessment Manager.I\'ve always been a firm believer in self improvement and lifelong learning. My degree was gained via the Open University, studying over 5 years in my spare time whilst holding down full time jobs. I\'m widely traveled, believing that the most interesting places are those well off the beaten track! I\'ve been to Congo, Angola, Chad, Niger, Algeria, Somaliland and Afghanistan to name but a few. On my travels I\'ve witnessed two total solar eclipses, seen three of the worlds five lava lakes, watched the sunrise over the Great Rift Valley and Machu Picchu.but there\'s plenty more to see and do out there!
