I have twenty years’ experience in the field of acoustics and air quality working on impact assessments for commercial and residential developments; Railway noise impact assessments (CRN); Road traffic noise impact assessments (CRTN); EPR/IPPC assessments and applications; Noise prediction modelling for road schemes; industrial units; licensed/permitted installations; wind turbines; Acoustic camera surveys for licensed/permitted installations and infrastructural noise problems in the water utility sector; Building acoustics (residential and commercial); Acoustic assessments of schools for compliance with BB93; BREEAM assessments and Noise at work/vibration assessments. I have mainly worked on the more detailed and technical acoustics projects but have gained ANC registration and UKAS accreditation for Approved Document Part E sound insulation testing for clients throughout the UK. I previously worked in specialist environmental protection and acoustic roles within local government environmental health departments and as a contaminated land consultant in the private sector. I have worked throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe and Middle East and am a corporate member of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA) and accredited associate member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (ACIEH).
