Have worked in the upstream oil industry since 1978, gaining valuable experience with majors, independents, and by running my own oil company for 16 years. Have participated in many aspects of the industry including: prospect generation for conventional and unconventional plays and reservoirs, surface and subsurface geological mapping, stratigraphy, reservoir characterization, geophysics, petroleum engineering, wellsite geology, land acquisition, vertical and horizontal drilling, geosteering, business management, raising investor capital, prospect sales, employee supervision, operations, investor relations, oral and written communication. Additionally, owned and operated 24 oil wells in the Illinois Basin for 16 years. Have conducted successful exploration ventures as well as having helped to design and oversee several successful secondary and tertiary (EOR) recovery projects in mature fields.
