I have worked as a Director of Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering Manager, Software Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, Software Architect, and Software Developer (node.js, C#, VB, python, C++).I have led projects in the 10\'s of person years, and delivered consumer facing software systems to large install bases (cloud, web services, push messaging, desktop, web portals, mobile, IoT, data). I skipped a grade, repeated a grade due to height requirements, and skipped another grade.I have had a lot of success working cross functionally. I am often the person that gets the smartest or most knowledgeable person talking, and I am often able to help capture the benefit of their vision.I believe in being as open and inclusive as possible, like Netflix culture of empowering all employees with the information they need to do their jobs.I believe architecture is an ongoing team sport, with lots of collaboration and communication and struggle to find the third alternative that resolves (almost) all the known issues.I believe that the DORA State of DevOps reports are a breakthrough for software organizations everywhere. I used those insights to drive a 29% increase in developer productivity and 30% reduction in time to get software live for a large software organization.I find it hard to write code without tests, and harder to debug code without tests. The first thing I do when hunting a bug is write a test that shows the problem.
