ABOUT STEPHEN WENG

I am a biostatistics, epidemiological and data science leader with over 15 years of industry and academic experience in leading, designing, conducting, and publishing adaptive clinical trials, real-world observational studies, evidence synthesis/meta-analyses, risk prediction models and methodological research in statistical inference. My industry experience has led to the successful delivery of submissions and securing regulatory approvals for new drug applications, with deep understanding of regulatory strategy with global agencies. I have extensive experience writing and publishing open source R/STATA/SAS code for fitting and optimising machine learning approaches for flexible applications in healthcare.I have published extensively as principal or co-author in high impact journals such as the Lancet, Nature, Circulation, British Medical Journal, Stroke, Public Library of Science, Heart, European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, Atherosclerosis, Cochrane Library of Systematic Reviews, Pediatrics, Archives of Disease in Childhood. I have an avid passion for promoting new and exciting quantitative methods, and have significant experience speaking in various formats such as large audiences at scientific conferences, conducting media interviews, and public engagement with patients and other external stakeholders.
