ABOUT STEPHEN WALLWORK

I completed my apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering in at the age of 18. I then started my industrial door career as a fitter’s mate with Ascot Doors in Bolton. • 6 months of working at Ascot Doors lead me to the Service Co-ordinator role. I was responsible for the day to day running of + PPM contracts nationwide in addition to the management of 4 service engineers operating out of 4 vans. • Following 5 years at Ascot, I moved to KONE Bolton Brady as Service Centre Manager involving the management of 16 engineers working out of 12 vehicles throughout the UK. • Owing to my exposure within the wider business at KONE Plc, I was able to learn and appreciate the importance of structure, process implementation, and the measuring / improvement of company performance etc which lead to (in 2008) being promoted to Strategic Account Manager. The role involved the global management of 10 targeted National Accounts with a combined annual spend of over £27million. • In 2013, I left KONE to join Bolton Gate Services as Midlands Regional Manager. I was both operationally and commercially responsible for the region. This encompassed the management of sales executives, service supervisors, admin staff and installation / service engineers working within the region to maintain and grow the business in terms of market share and bottom line profit. • In 2014 following a prolonged period of working away from home I moved back to Bolton and joined Cell Security Ltd as their Operations Director. They manufacture, Install and service Home Office approved products including Cell Doors predominantly into the Prison, Court and Border Force sectors both in the UK and internationally. The dept\'s I was responsible for were: Drawing office // Procurement // Contract management // Manufacturing / Factory staff // Transport dept. and Installation dept. I then joined Rhino Systems early in 2017 As Project Manager for the prestigious Cross Rail infrastructure project in London.
