ABOUT STEPHEN TAYLOR

I am Director of Markets & Pursuits in Scotland for Turner & Townsend, supporting our clients develop innovative and robust delivery and management solutions to address challenges faced in the UK Infrastructure Sector. My approach to Project Management was formed from my experience delivering in the heavily-regulated nuclear environment, both decommissioning and nuclear new build. This, partnered with my knowledge of the Environment Resilience sector, has allowed me to drive delivery of complex flood protection scheme projects across Scotland and the UK.In project delivery I focus on two key areas: people and communication. People deliver projects. People deliver projects when their strengths and areas for development are appreciated, they are clear on their responsibilities and feel empowered to drive towards the project\'s objectives. All this is facilitated by clear, structured communication.I am extremely organised. I don\'t waste time. I aim to provide focus and clarity to every project I support.I enjoy learning new skills. To build on my undergraduate engineering degree and the experience I\'ve gained in the workplace, I studied for a Postgraduate Certificate in Organisational Leadership. I am always looking for new opportunities to develop and ultimately bring more value to my clients and their projects.I enjoy my time away from work with my friends and family.
