Ø My day-to-day duties include operational responsibility for the plant against standard KPI’s such as production, overheads, waste, downtime, quality and health & safety.Ø In addition to this distribution of finished goods to supply chain, management of raw materials and all engineering work within the plant is under my responsibility.Ø Through CI teams & line improvement driving average waste levels down from 60% to Budgeted std and belowØ Through weekly financial reviews driving stores and labour variances down by approx 55%. Ø Taking ownership of seasonal production and ingredient ordering. Resulting in an elimination of 95% of write off costsØ Reduction in non-core labour cost of 88% over three years.Ø Turn around on a £2.5 M loss to budget to achieving budget over a 36-month period.Ø Implementation of Lean Techniques to achieve Lean Centre Of Excellence with main achievements being a 75% reduction in working capital, holding a 5’s event to remodel the K block footprint. Ø Achieved BRC Grade A with a commendation for Cake Line, Other Audits included a 95% Mars Audit and lowest pest control score on siteØ Key operational member of the 1.4m Jaffa Cake Bar projectØ Operational member of the 1m Mersey projectØ Development of process and procedures to aid the integration of the new cake line into the current business, inc training, cleaning, ways of working, safety, qualityØ Developed an autonomous multi skilled team able to adapt to new challenges effectively. Have highest skilled and most flexible team on site.Ø Involved in recruitment process for shifts in the department.Ø Involved in the installation and commissioning of the plant.Ø Deputising for Manufacturing Manager as and when required
