ABOUT STEPHEN STOTT

As a career aviator, Mr. Stott has flown in challenging environments from the Arctic Circle to the Caribbean, conducting Search and Rescue (including Combat SAR on a tour with the US Air Force), Maritime Environmental Protection, Drug Enforcement, and Migrant Interdiction Operations from ashore and while deployed aboard ship. Additionally, Mr. Stott has flown Single Pilot IFR operations in the civilian EMS world for hospital and community based programs from Alaska to South Florida. As Pilot in Command, Mr. Stott worked closely with aircrews including Flight Mechanics conducting precision hoists to vessels, Avionicsmen navigating in harsh Alaskan waters, Rescue Swimmers deploying to assist persons in distress in the water and on perilous cliff faces, and Medical Crews at accident scenes and complex interhospital transports. He most recently worked overseas on a U.S. State Department contract conducting support for VIP airlift and transport missions as well as MEDEVAC capabilities in a semi-hostile, austere environment. Mr. Stott spent much of his career as a duty standing Aircraft Commander and Department Head at operational air stations. Mr. Stott served as the staff aviator for the Coast Guard Pacific Area Commander and while at that assignment completed the Naval War College Command and Staff College. As a part of a developmental team, Mr. Stott was tasked with crafting mission particular instruction of Crew Resource Management for Coast Guard aircrews and surface personnel. Mr. Stott also pursued degree study for a Masters in Aerospace Science with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University during his off duty time. Mr. Stott received a Masters Degree in Military History from Norwich University in 2013. He has had the honor to work with outstanding professionals throughout his career and has been proud to be a part of teams that have tried to make a difference in our world. Mr. Stott presently flies helicopter EMS operations in Charleston, South Carolina.
