Responsible for the entirety of the logistics department\'s operations, team members\' success and development, delivering KPI metrics/goals, all while ensuring we are making a financial impact on the P&L; this includes but isn\'t limited to; my involvement with all of the shipping, distribution needs, and delivery requirements of OPC\'s products from farm to table (this includes International Freight as well). My responsibilities are divided up through the numerous avenues in which OPC operates and the plethora of options that are offered to the consumer. This is supported by our 9 different farms and/or processing facilities that fall under Oregon Potato. Additionally, my team and I handle all new & current carrier partnerships as well as all lane pricing. The carrier and customer relationship facet of my role directly correlates to the final aspect of what I do, and that aspect is to prevent any & all types of major financial impacts on the operating margin which is built into the price of our products inside the trailers that are consumed and/or purchased by our customers every day. Executing the previous part of my role at a high level greatly assists in delivering extraordinary financial results which are assisted by having tough negotiations with current and new carriers allowing us the opportunity to maintain a sharp focus on KPI metrics and pricing discrepancies. The best part of what I do is leading and developing the Logistics team members that make up the department, Additionally; the team and I are small, but we work tirelessly at maintaining OPC\'s high customer service standards and we all share the laser-focused mentality of achieving extraordinary KPI and Financial results. Monthly, the logistics team and I\'s responsibilities mainly include the planning and dispatching of around FTL Reefer truckloads (Depending on seasonality), 200-250 Intermodal loads, 50-75 Drayage loads off the port of Seattle, and some LTL freight as well.
