Experienced safety leader with 31 years of mid and downstream oil and gas experience, including refinery operations, training, risk assessment and audit (HES compliance and safety and security management systems) My goal is to improve an organization’s overall safety and operational performance by reducing risk in the workplace validated through effective hazard identification and risk assessment following a rigorous continuous improvement process. Utilize my leadership skills compiled through my many years in the refining industry in developing resources by creating and delivering training, coaching, mentoring employees to understand “Why” working safely is so important.

   Supervise a team of salary and hourly USW represented safety professionals, while managing the development, implementation and compliance auditing of safety-related policies and programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements. • Developed and executed a Safe Work Permit and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) integration plan, aligning current procedures identified during gap assessment. This included managing the integration process, re-writing the procedures, develop and deliver training and executing the process. • Supported site in being awarded 2019 AFPM Distinguished Safety Award, one of nine sites nationwide to be recognized• Completed detailed gap assessment process on current site safety procedures against MPC requirements• Manage the RCRA Hazardous waste program including creating manifests, preparing/scheduling shipments and working with disposal companies to stay compliant with regulatory requirements.
