   Lead backend developer responsible for managing the telemetry and overall backend infrastructure for San Diego Studio’s MLB The Show. • Scaled the ETL environment to account for the addition of four new consoles, which data volume increased from 250M to over 1B records a day. • Built out and maintained backend infrastructure, going from about 10 scripts and 100 objects with a five-hour runtime to 20 scripts and over 250 objects with a one-and-a-half-hour runtime. • Created a QA framework to detect data quality issues (e.g, script durations, duplications, and null values) as well as monitor general KPI metrics (e.g, revenue per console, total purchases, and user counts). • Implemented error handling to each ETL script which will kill the current process as well as downstream jobs if job failure or data quality issues are detected. • Lead discussions on ETL script and Tableau dashboard rework to create a more efficient process and informative visual. • Created utilities using PySpark for AWS Glue ETL Scripts to draw data from multiple sources (S3, Redshift, and MySQL), run custom SQL, sink data with Athena, and create job metrics to be queried in Athena. • Created technical documents as a top-to-bottom telemetry rework for current and upcoming platforms, outlining missing and incorrect data as well as new features. • Maintained Elasticsearch pipeline to ingest server events as well as concurrent user counts.
