ABOUT STEPHEN ROBERTS

37 years experience in automotive manufacturing, originally at Land Rover, working in purchasing, manufacturing (vehicle assembly and paint shop as a production manager), before a short period at MG Rover, once again in manufacturing and Purchasing, before joining Bentley in 2005 as a buyer. Became a purchasing project manager in 2006, before being promoted to project leader in 2010.Since then I have taken responsibility for a number of model year and engine programs, before delivering Bentayga in 2015.I am now responsible for special vehicle projects and Aftersales within purchasing, delivering engine and model year enhancements, as well as maintaining 50 years of product in the field.I am also responsible for all forward sourcing across all platforms and lead a team that includes project manager, forward sourcing buyers and a forward sourcing planning team, as well as been a key stopping off point for both Bentley and VW group graduates and interns.
