About Stephen Presti
Hello, I am a final year student pharmacist at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, and I currently serve as the APhA-ASP National Speaker of the House. I am a pharmacy intern at the UIHC Specialty Pharmacy and Hy-Vee. At the specialty pharmacy, I work primarily in the patient management and benefits investigations teams. I contact patients to schedule refills, monitor for adherence, and screen for adverse effects and medication changes. I also help ensure medications are financially accessible by filing prior authorizations and enrolling patients for copay cards and grants. Over the summer of 2023, I completed a 12-week Executive Internship in Association Management at the Iowa Pharmacy Association, which was a great experience for me to gain a broad understanding of the issues facing the pharmacy profession. Beyond career endeavors, I value living a healthy lifestyle and developing skills. I am interested in photography, exercise, playing the piano, and continuing to improve my Spanish language skills.
