About Stephen Paulson
Stephen\'s first food memories were from his time spent on his grandparents ranch. His grandmother was a great cook in the old school way. She was also an avid gardener and canner. Grandma’s kitchen was always filled with the smells of jams cooking and meat braising. Farm to table wasn\'t a concept it was part of daily life. He started his culinary journey as a dishwasher, he was lucky enough to catch the eye of Chef John Huyck an alum of Jimmy Schmidt’s famous Rattlesnake Club in Denver and Mark Miller’s Coyote Café in Santa Fe. John recognized a kindred spirit of someone fascinated with cooking technique and took Stephen under his wing helping to develop his palate and his skills with a knife. Several cities, kitchens and chefs later Stephen is excited to begin his role as the Corporate Executive Chef at 509 Management.
