I advise charities, not for profits and educational institutions on corporate governance, mergers & reorganisations, commercial law and regulatory matters (I have significant experience of dealing with the Charity Commission). My clients are based in the UK and abroad. I have experience of advising clients in the charitable, education and social enterprise sectors as well as advising membership organisations and regularly advise on the drafting of grant agreements (from the perspective of both the donor and the recipient).I have established a number of charitable and not for profit foundations for corporates and have significant experience of advising banks, corporates and pensions funds on matters relating to charities and not for profits. I regularly deliver seminars and presentations on corporate governance (including the role of the company secretary, compliance with charity law duties and mergers) and produce regular updates on charity law.
