WORK HISTORY
Scientific Software Developer @Caur Technologies
Ottawa, ON, CA
Develop and maintain CAUR’s ambient noise tomography pipeline, including seismic preprocessing, cross-correlation, windowing, dispersion imaging, and inversion. Improved cross-correlation signal-to-noise ratio through phase-weighted stacking, tapering, and normalization fixes, and contributed to QC tooling based on SNR metrics.• Conduct applied geophysics research and algorithm development, including seismic beamforming and phase-dispersion beamforming to characterize noise source distributions and validate recoverable Earth structure (e.g, 1D velocity models).• Design and deploy scientific software at scale, including a PyTorch-based neural network surrogate for dispersion modeling (≈100× speedup over Disba) and cloud-based processing workflows on GCP using Coiled to enable reproducible, large-scale analyses.
