ABOUT STEPHEN MILLER
I work with businesses and public sector organizations to identify, map and unlock grants and funding for growth, innovation and success. I have 15 years of economic and innovation consulting, working with governments and businesses in Canada, the UK and Belgium, and enjoy using this knowledge of innovation strategy and economic policy to enable our clients to do more. Before BDO Canada, I was Policy Fellow in Innovation Insights at Mitacs, one of Canada\'s largest not-for-profit innovation enabling organizations. At Ecorys, Brussels (Belgium), I led or co-delivered start-up support, economic development and regional policy research projects. The Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), for example, supported R&D consortia to develop viable investment-ready business models. I’ve held several other roles in UK businesses and universities. My management experience includes leading multi-partner project teams, line management, project finance planning and budget management. I have formal project management training (PRINCE2).
