Served an indentured Mechanical (Fitter / Turner) apprenticeship with Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) from 1987 to 1991.Served as a tradesman and then Lead tradesman, leading a small group of tradesmen within a larger turnaround / overhaul.From this I moved into a planning function as a lead trade planner and then as an area planner, planning individual jobs within a turnaround and then scheduling them to find critical path and resource leveling.In 2009 I completed a Mechanical Engineering HNC via University of Teeside. In November 2012 I started a Manufacturing systems degree via LJMU I graduated in July 2016 with a 2.1. This has led to a promotion to a Mechanical development Engineer and from 1st July 2016 I will be Mechanical Asset Engineer for 3 plants on Runcorn site. This will include codal responsibility, compliance with PSSR legislation for inspection and PED / PER for fabrication of pressure systems. Working knowledge and compliance with LOLER and PUWER legislation. Fixed cost (OR & M) and capex budgeting. Developing asset care programmes to retain or improve on design parameters of the plants as well as day to day maintenance and prioritising mechanical work. Lead improvement teams within a manufacturing excellence review, specifically in terms of reliability and OEE with a view to strategic review and Capex narrative submittal.I have an extensive experience of chemical manufacturing complexes and the associated mechanical engineering necessary to keep them running efficiently. In October 2019 I moved from Inovyn to Lyondell Basell polyolefins Ltd at Carrington as a Mechanical Engineer.In March 2020 at Carrington I was promoted to Site Mechanical Reliability Engineer. In March 2022 I moved to PQ corporation Warrington site as Site Mechanical and Reliability Engineer
