About Stephen Lockwood

I grew up a pastor’s kid and was expected to follow in those footsteps, but God didn’t call me to ministry right away. Instead, I pursued a career in Graphic Design and Advertising, working with top agencies and eventually starting my own business. I loved the creativity, the challenge, and the entrepreneurial world, but I never stopped serving the church faithfully and stepped into leadership.Eventually, God opened the door for me to enter ministry full-time, and I answered the call to serve as a pastor. When disaster struck my family, I stepped away to heal and restore. That season taught me resilience, humility, and the importance of being obeying and trusting God even when life gets hard.Now, God has led me back into ministry as the Director of Operations at Two Cities Church. I advance the mission of the local church through discipleship, operational leadership, and strategy. I help turn the vision into action, building teams and systems that empower leaders, and removing obstacles so ministry can thrive. I’m passionate about helping people lead well, work well together, and see real impact in the church and community.

   I help take the vision of our church and actually make it happen day to day. I work closely with our leadership team to keep things moving, solve problems, and make sure our ministries are aligned and running well across campuses.I oversee projects, facilities, and systems, but a big part of my role is building leaders and creating structure so our teams can do what they’re called to do without unnecessary friction. At the end of the day, I want to create more runway and remove obstacles so we can stay focused on making disciples and reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
