About Stephen Lawrence
Stephen Lawrence is an Associate Professor Emeritus in the Leeds School of Business of the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received BS and MS degrees in engineering from Purdue University, and his doctorate in Industrial Administration (Operations Management) from Carnegie-Mellon University. Lawrence\'s research interests include topics in international business, operations management, the business of renewable energy, and health care operations. His research is published in well-known academic journals, and he is the recipient of several teaching awards. Lawrence also has held several administrative posts at the Leeds School including Faculty Director of Executive Programs, Associate Dean for Programs, Interim-Dean, Faculty Director of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, and Associate Dean of the Graduate School. Prior to his academic career, Lawrence worked in industry for eight years, culminating in five years as General Manager for a metal casting plant in the Midwest.Specialties: Operations and supply chain management; the business of renewable energy; health care operations; international business; and entrepreneurship
