Contribute to the development of the group safety management system building specific responses and solutions to H&S risks in their business unit(s).• Supporting the business unit management on initiatives, ensuring H&S is considered appropriately.• In conjunction with branch / region colleagues, investigate H&S incidents, produce the incident report and ensure lessons learned and corrective actions are implemented.• Support the senior manager in producing meaningful reports and insight on H&S performance in the business unit, highlighting root causes and solutions.• Attend business unit management meetings reporting on the H&S performance within the business unit and ensure managers are clear on the actions they need to take.• To challenge, where appropriate and acting as the conscience of the business.• To champion health & safety as a core business value, embedding into operational routines, meetings and priorities throughout their business unit.• To deliver H&S training courses and ongoing coaching, to branch / region colleagues.• Conduct H&S monitoring visits / audits, collate results and ensure common themes / areas of weakness are addressed.
