ABOUT STEPHEN KESKES
I am a passionate educational leader who has been feverishly working on 21st century learning for ALL learners for whom I care in Southeastern and MidMichigan. I have been connecting with community partners to improve literacy, numeracy and soft skills within our students. Most recently, I have been leading the creation and implementation of a structured language literacy program, homeschool partnership, early college programming, 1:1 computing and project based learning district-wide in the Clio Area School District. We leverage the Google Suite to create collaborative work products and enhanced communication. Additionally, we engage with several unique community partners to promote early literacy, STEM and community building for the children of Clio. Previously, I was the founding director for th the New Tech High model at Pinckney Community High School, building a small learning community with an intense focus on the core values of trust, respect and responsibility. Our school had 1:1 technology, used inquiry driven, Project-Based/Problem-Based Learning as the primary instructional pedagogy. Our learners experienced college before they graduated to enhance collegiate success and degree attainment. Learners are graduating with a tremendous skill set in addition to maintaining high academic achievement.
